Last Updated: 07/18/2025

Service Description

InJAMES provides an AI-powered call monitoring and transcription service designed to help individuals detect and respond to phone-based scams and fraud attempts. When added to a phone call, our AI Agent:
– Listens to the call in real-time.
– Identifies potential scam or fraud activity.
– Transcribes the call.
– Encrypts and stores the transcript, accessible only by the user.
– Interrupts the call with a voice alert if suspicious language or scam indicators are detected.
– Allows users to optionally share transcripts with third parties such as law enforcement or companies impersonated during the scam (e.g., Microsoft, Amazon).

User Responsibilities

To use the Service, you must:
– Be at least 18 years of age or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
– Only use the Service for lawful purposes and not to record or monitor calls in violation of any local, state, or federal law.

You are solely responsible for notifying all participants of a call that the conversation may be recorded or transcribed, if required by law in your jurisdiction.

Data Ownership and Retention

– All call transcripts are end-to-end encrypted and are accessible only by you.
– You may delete any transcript permanently at any time via your account settings.
– Transcripts are automatically deleted after 30 days, unless marked as “Keep” by the user.
– Transcripts marked as “Keep” are stored as long as your account remains active.
– If your account is canceled or terminated, all transcripts and account data will be permanently deleted in accordance with the Wisconsin Data Privacy Act and other applicable laws.

Sharing Transcripts

You may choose to share transcripts with:
– Third-party companies that may have been impersonated in the scam (e.g., Microsoft, Amazon).
– Law enforcement agencies or consumer protection organizations.

We do not share your transcripts with anyone without your explicit consent.

Account Termination and Deletion

You may cancel your account at any time. Upon cancellation:
– Your transcripts and personal data will be permanently deleted from our systems.
– This process is irreversible and is done in compliance with applicable data privacy regulations, including the Wisconsin Data Privacy Act.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are used in ways that may harm others.

Service Limitations

While our AI strives to identify fraudulent or suspicious activity, no system is perfect. The Service:
– Does not guarantee the prevention of fraud or scam loss.
– Is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

We encourage you to stay vigilant and use additional safeguards when dealing with unknown callers.

Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you via email or within the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
